Two new collages

I have become increasingly dissatisfied with the collage in my last posting, it is rather too ‘busy’ for my taste, so here are two collages of a distinctly more minimal nature.

That feels much better.

I like these too, especially the last one, and is that a real rope?

We know when we know. All three are wonderful but what resonates is what is important.

These two seem so different, and at first I was drawn to the second, then after looking again the first drew me in as well....

I find these collage compelling Ian. Peaceful, calm, and with breathing room.

My work table is filled with busy collage right now too - that's probably what's keeping me from saying they are done - time to take some things back out!

(You inspire me you know.)

These are wonderful.
Are these "real" or digital?

XVII is delightful...the animated curl of the rope line floating above calm quiet blocks with slather of plaster...yum

I liked your last collage because of the text and calligraphy-- but I see what you mean-- I like your new ones because they are minimal-- more to your taste I think.

Ian
Since I am new to "blogging." I didn't remember your site, until I opened it. And I knew again, I loved them.

The first one I wouldn't change a thing.

The second, I could live without the cord going outside of the mat, or that gray goo? But the collage is wonderful. I think to go outside the mat, looks less than professional. I hope it is OK, I said that? True-- that your work is wonderful! You help me to remember what I like about collage! I can't wait to see a 100 more!

All three of these collages are quite wonderful. I especially like the colors you have selected. I also like the way some of the edges go over the blue lines on the mat. I can't say I have a favorite here. I like them all for different reasons. I can't wait to see more now that I have found your site.

I like very much the bottom right corner of the previous post's collage ...welll now that i look at that I like whats happening on the left.
I think I can find much to like in all of them.
But i know that feeling Ian of something just sitting right at a particular time!'
