XIV

XIV Mixed media on canvas 16"x 16"

Today is a public holiday in the UK and it is windy and rather cold, not very conducive to going outside, so I have, at last, managed to get this painting finished.

Hi Ian,
I like playing with different structures and emerge from the abrupt
Numbers. Nice work.

bravo for the days that turn us inward...what a clear and clean view...don't you love working on this size surface...something about 16 inches square.

This is lovely, Ian. I love how the textures play off the typography.

I read an earlier blog post and smiled about your wood blocks. I love what you did with them. We had a fence put in last fall, and I grabbed up a lot of the discarded post scraps. They're in a corner of my studio waiting to tell me what to do with them!

Dear Ian,

I love the texture that you have created with the tissue paper and choosing to leave the other portion canvas and adorn it with typography.

I think you have found your grove. Well done!

Best wishes,
Egmont

we are having the same sort of cold, dreary cloudy weather here-- no spring for us yet... but I love the warm minimal colors here and the textures are lovely..warms me up!
